I am a pediatric surgeon by profession. I have interest in medical editing, medical education as well bioethics. I remained Dean, faculty of pediatric surgery at College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan. I also remained President, Pakistan Association of Medical Editor (PAME). I am also visiting faculty at University of Health Sciences and Shalamar Medical & Dental College Lahore Pakistan. I teach in the diploma courses of medical editing/writing and bioethics / professionalism.

I remained associated as Editor, with the Journal of College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (JCPSP); an impact factor journal indexed with Medline and other databases. I am also a member of institutional review boards of Jinnah Sindh Medical University and Ziauddin University. I am chair of IRBs of National Institute of Child Health as well The Kidney Center postgraduate medical institute Karachi. I am also member of the National Bioethics Committee, RHI, NIH, Government of Pakistan, Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination. I am the course director of ATLS program as well lead instructor BLS and PALS courses of American Herat Association. I am a member of The Association of Paediatric Surgeons Pakistan, British Association of Paediatric Surgeons, World Association of Medical Editors, Eastern Association of Medical Editors, American College of Surgeons, Pakistan Pediatric Association and others.
